Michael (cont.)
Since you've come this far, you deserve to know a little more about me before you call, text, email, tweet or "friend" me:
I began conciously communicating in the usual way, as a teenager. I was studying to be an actor. Theatre was a hard taskmaster but a brilliant mentor. More than any other teacher, it gave me information and practical skills about story, dialogue, motivation, and true collaboration. More than 30 years later, I'm still a professional actor. Which is to say, every now and then I earn a stipend for my efforts.
Out of necessity (and curiosity) I used what I learned in theatre, film, television and radio, and I honed those skills in other trades. I spent 7 years in financial services operations, compliance and marketing. For 10 very different years, I worked in executive management in nonprofit health and human services.
Since 1993, I've run my own business designing communications. I've helped clients tell their unique stories in healthcare, manufacturing, engineering, government, politics, real estate sales and development, food service, personal care products, even astrology.
Experience has convinced me. Without hesitation, I tell you that effective communication is the most critical operation and asset of any enterprise. Its applications are universal, constrained only by our imagination. The consequences of poor communication are costly. The rewards of a good story well told are the very stuff of success: high brand awareness and high reputation, customer and employee loyalty, goals achieved and mission fulfilled.
We can start small or big, with as little or as much as you need. Tell me your story.
