HOSPICECARE, INC.  Community Relations Development Director  —  Madison, WI

Key member of executive management team engaged to grow hospice home care program from a small, predominantly volunteer organization into an effective, county-wide healthcare agency.  In collaboration with the University of Wisconsin, the United Way and local hospitals, developed strategies and programs to increase community awareness, enhance public image, recruit buy-in by local healthcare provider groups and professionals, and build a loyal and sustainable donor base.

Rebuilt and reinvigorated the programs and culture of a struggling youth mentoring organization.  Recruited and trained 12 new board members, developed staff and volunteer training and retention strategies, computerized client, volunteer and fund raising data.  Created new relationships with local and county governments, local corporations, business people and the United Way.  Designed and implemented agency crisis management protocol.  Increased the numbers of clients, volunteers, program services and donors.  Opened new Watsonville branch office in South Santa Cruz County.
